Seacoast Collegiate High School students Reagan Wells, Sierra Smith, Mary Katherine Rookis, and Knoxye Grinstead placed 1st in a modified Florida History Day competition with their group performance entitled “Breaking News: The Story of the Women’s Army Corp”.

Sponsored by the Museum of Florida History, Florida History Day is an annual, statewide activity that enhances the teaching and learning of history at middle and high school. This year, entrants submitted work digitally for judging due to COVID-19.

This marks two consecutive years that these ladies and Walton County have come out on top in the Senior Performance division. Their performance makes them eligible to return to represent Walton Conty and the state of Florida in the National History Day competition.
